Thunderstorms expected in parts of Oman

Parts of the sultanate will continue to be affected by a trough extending from the Arabian Sea with the possibility of cloud formation and chances of rain and thunderstorms over Dhofar governorate, Al Hajar mountains and adjoining areas, according to the Civil Aviation Authority’s National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre.

According to the centre, the state of the Arabian Sea is expected to be rough along the coast with waves ranging in height from 3m to 4m. 

The Sea of Oman will be moderate with waves of maximum 2m height.
