Land plots that have been allotted for the establishment of tourism projects will be withdrawn from their owners in the event the projects are not implemented.

H E Salim bin Mohammed bin Said al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, said this in response to a citizen’s query on Twitter.

‘The necessary procedures are being taken and after a comprehensive review, all the land granted for tourism use will be withdrawn in the event of non-compliance with the law and procedures related to it,’ H E Mahrouqi tweeted.
