Oman’s smart transportation start-up eMushrif goes global
Oman-based Internet of Things (IoT) and smart transportation start-up eMushrif has signed a partnership agreement with Classera, an international company that offers learning management systems to schools.
While eMushrif turns ordinary school buses into smart buses to ensure children’s safety, Class-era’s mission is to enable every child, adult, scholar or trainee to reach their goals and design everything they need for their education in innovative ways.
“eMushrif signed a partnership agreement with Classera. Classera offers learning management systems to schools. This agreement will allow eMushrif to enter other markets where Classera has presence across the Middle East and vice versa,” Adnan al Shuaili, eMushrif’s CEO, told Muscat Daily.
eMushrif is an Omani tech start-up which is on a mission to save lives of thousands of children who commute by school buses. It reached a milestone last year by providing one million protected trips. It also successfully secured a Pre-Series A funding of US$1mn (RO384,500 approx) by a prominent group of Oman-based investors (Phaze Ventures, Oman Technology Fund-Wadi, Sparklabs Energy, Myrad Holding and Angels) and one Bahrain-based investor (Dividend Gate Capital).
The company aims to bring IoT and Artificial Intelligence to transportation and logistics to create next generation of safe and smart transportation in the sultanate and the region. “Both eMushrif and Classera will bundle their services to schools in one package to ease delivery of service,” he said.
Classera serves more than 1,000,000 users in Middle East and encourages them to not just think about passing exams, but to excel in what interest them and become leaders of the future.
