Khazaen Economic City on Monday announced the signing of a new investment agreement with an Iraqi investor to build a new industrial facility in Khazaen.
The agreement was signed with Al Zayzafon Investment Company to build diapers and napkins factory with an estimated investment of RO2mn, according to a press statement.
The agreement was signed by Eng Salim Suleiman al Thuhli, CEO of Khazaen Economic City and HaidarDhiaaTalib, an Iraqi investor and CEO of Al Zayzafon Investment Company.
Commenting on the agreement, Thuhli said, “The signing reflects the steady growth and trust that Khazaen is gaining from local and international companies to set up their facilities at Khazaen. We are truly delighted to welcome this new investment to Khazaen, and we are committed to provide the best customer service needed to commence this project in the city.”
Talib said, “Oman in general and Khazaen in particular provide an ideal choice for us as investors due to several factors and advantages. We aim to build a modern industrial facility to produce baby diapers and sanitary napkins to meet the requirements of the local market and partly to export to international markets, taking the unique advantage of Khazaen’s strategic location and its direct links to various major ports and airports in Oman through Khazaen Dry Port.”
