The 4th Annual Mohammed Riaz Golf Event 2019

The 4th Annual Mohammed Riaz Golf Event went ahead this Ramadan at the Ras Al Hamra Golf Club.  In its fourth incarnation the Mohammed Riaz & Partner group saw their most successful turn out to date with 150 golfers playing 650 rounds of golf throughout the tournament which took place in May.

Mohammed Riaz & Partner LLC have taken the initiative to host a golf tournament during Ramadan since 2016 as a way of promoting Golf in the Sultanate and bringing people together during the Holy month and as announced by their Managing Director, Mr Faiz Muhammad Riaz, the group intend to continue the event annually for many years to come.

The winners of this year’s event were presented with their trophies at the closing ceremony on June 2nd and was graciously hosted by His Excellency Dr Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhi, who congratulated the following winners;

Division 1 winner: Azaan Al Rumhy

Division 1 Runner Up: Mohammed Al Busaidi

Division 2 winner: Antonio Ojeda

Division 2 Runner Up: Jas Dhanju

Division 3 Winner: Hamoud Al Shaqsi

Runner Up: Naresh Chandwani

Gross Order of Merit: Tenzin Tsarong

Runner Up: Navaid Ahmed

Mohammed Riaz & Partner LLC have more recently diversified from their core business as Building Material suppliers into One Stop Shops for the Home in the shape of their ‘Home Mart International’ brand and their latest venture FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) supply. Managing Director, Fahad Mohammed Riaz explained that their brands such as ‘Komili Extra Virgin Oil’, ‘Salam Tomato Ketchup’, Ibrahim Long Grain Silky Rice’ and many more items can now be found in Lulu and Carrefour hypermarkets and will soon be found in many convenience stores across Oman.
