His Majesty’s Cup Football Championship: Dhofar to face Saham in HM’s Cup round of 32

Two former champions - Dhofar and Saham - will face off in a crucial clash of the round of 32 in the 2017-2018 His Majesty's Cup Football Championship that will be played on November 17-18. Dhofar (eight) and Saham (two) share a total of ten titles between them and were drawn against each other at the draw ceremony on Sunday. 

The event was held under the auspices of H H Sayyid Taimur bin Asad al Said in the presence of Sheikh Salim al Wahaibi, the Oman Football Association (OFA) chairman and other top officials and club officials.

Defending champion and current Omantel League leader Al Suwaiq is expected to have a smooth sailing into the next round as it was drawn against Quriyat, a first-division side.

In another explosive clash featuring two top-flight sides, Al Nahda will take on four-time winner Al Nasr while record nine-time champion Fanja will face debutant Omantel League team Mudhaibi in a tricky clash. Round of 32 fixtures: Bidiyah vs Al Ittihad, Al Bashayer vs Muscat, Mudhaibi vs Fanja,
