Hadi and Kindi qualified for the stronger silver fleet in the ultra-competitive racing class which featured world and Olympic champions.
In the nine races they competed, which included six qualifying races, the duo's best show was a fourth spot.
Hadi said, “It has been a great experience for both Waleed and me racing at Kiel Week. The competition was very strong but it was a great opportunity for us to learn against the best and to get better.”
The second Oman Sail team featuring Ahmed al Hasani and French racer Axel Silvy ended up 68th and had to be content racing in the bronze fleet. The pairing, however, finished 13th among the 27 teams in the bronze fleet. By participating in Kiel, the Oman Sail teams also got a good build-up for their upcoming 49er Asian Championship, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in November.
