PSO will also honour 11 photographers who won at a contest organised by the International Federation for Photographic Art (FIAP) last year and exhibit their works.
The two exhibitions will be held under the patronage of Hamoud bin Ali al Easari, Assistant Secretary General in the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.
Speaking to Muscat Daily, an official at PSO said, “The Youth Photography Contest 2018 contest saw 26 entries from 23 photographers in the under-20 category and 20 entries from 17 photographers in the under-15 category. We will honour works of photographers in both the competitions.
“We organise lectures, workshops and forums aimed at spreading the culture of photography and developing the skills of amateur and professional photographers. The aim is to raise the standards of Omani photographers and ensure their participation in contests across the world.”
The two exhibitions are being held from 8am to 8pm and will continue till April 25.
