For the competition schoolchildren in Oman were invited to write an essay on ‘My Favourite Place in Oman’.
“We received more than 600 entries from 29 schools across the country. The judges really enjoyed reading the entries which highlighted many wonderful places to visit in Oman,” stated an official from Dar al Atta’a.
“The children gave directions to different locations. They described Oman’s glorious coastline and beaches and wrote of ocean adventures. Others described exciting visits to the turtle nesting sites, lush wadis and palm groves, star-filled deserts, fun amusement parks, interesting museums, peaceful mosques and the magnificent Royal Opera House Muscat.”
The prize distribution ceremony will be held on April 20 at 4.30pm in the Balcony Hall, 3rd Floor, Oman Avenues Mall.
Winners who are unable to attend the ceremony, can collect their prizes from the Let’s Read Charity Book Shop.
