He added that the real estate activity involved 33,648 transactions. These included sale, grant, inheritance, exchange, mortgage and mortgage redemption, usufruct and visas. Mukhaini added that the total value of sale contracts stood at RO81,109,000 through 4,897 sale transactions across sultanate’s governorates while the fee collected was RO3,87,000.
The Governorate of North Batinah (1,012) recorded the highest number of sale contracts compared to other governorates in February followed by South Batinah (857), Muscat (800), Dakhliyah (561), North Sharqiyah (425), South Sharqiyah (369), Dhahirah (301), Dhofar (281), Buraimi (139), Al Wusta (127) and Musandam (25).
He added that 23,257 title deeds were also issued in February including those issued for the GCC citizens.
Mukhaini added that the total value of exchange contracts reached over RO1,107,000 while the fee collected from such contract transactions stood at more than RO22,148, through 164 relevant contracts. “The total value of mortgage contracts stood at more than RO184,274,000 through 1,309 contracts at the level of governorates. The fee collected from mortgage contracts stood at RO1,289,948.”
