Spark 2017 to be held tomorrow

Muscat -

Tamannaah, youth sensation of the South Indian film industry, will lead the all-women show featuring some of the top names of South Indian cinema to be held on Friday at Qurm Amphitheatre at 7pm.

Titled ‘Spark’ by RDI (Rajesh Master’s Dance Institute), the nearly three-hour-long entertainment extravaganza will see a perfect mix of soulful music, adrenaline-pumping dance and slapstick comedy by veterans in the industry while celebrating the 12th year of RDI.

Besides Tamannaah, a diverse range of highly power-packed performers such as Sija Rose, Archana Suseelan, Arya Rohit (Badai Bunglaw fame) and singers Lakshmi Jayan and Srinath Nair are some of the names who have vowed to entertain the people of the sultanate at Spark organised by Claps Events.

Adding cream to the cake, acclaimed stage personality, star DJ and actress Ranjini Haridas will surely win the hearts of the audience with her spontaneity and uncanny ability to entertain the masses.

“Spark is a part of the celebrations of RDI’s 12th year of continuous trust-winning and giving back to the yearning music lovers of Oman,” said Rajesh Master and Ranjini, ace dance and music duo in Muscat. For Sija who was seen with Prithviraj in 'Ente Swantham Moideen' and with Vineeth Srinivasan and Asif Ali in 'Traffic' and in some other movies in Telugu and Tamil besides Malayalam ones, it is a homecoming for she was born and brought up in Muscat and studied under Rajesh Master.

Iniya needs no introduction as her face is quite popular and this actor cum model cum dancer will set the stage on fire with her quick and mesmerising moves.

Archana, who has already made her presence felt with her roles in Kaaryasthan, and TV serials like Punar Janmam and Ente Maanasa Puthri, and Arya (Badai Bunglaw fame) are guaranteeing an evening packed with dance and comedy.

Renowned singers like Nair and Lakshmi are sure to take the audience through a musical journey by means of a bunch of both old songs as well as new hits.

Mixing all spices to the right proportion is the task of loquacious Ranjini Haridas who doesn't even need an introduction. She set a revolutionary style of compering which has only been followed by other DJ's and stage hosts.

Since Ranjini was crowned Miss Kerala at Femina Miss Kerala 2000, she has been hosting stage and TV shows.

She has hosted events like Asianet Film Awards, Amrita TV Film Awards, Asiavision Awards, Flowers TV awards, Jaihind Film Awards and SIIMA, to name a few. These events are lifeless without her mellifluous voice and unique compering style. A number of private organisations are joining hands with Team RDI to make 'Spark 2017' a runaway success.
