This was announced to the press at Oman’s Embassy in Paris. Mohammed bin Khalfan al Busaidi, spokesperson of the sultanate’s pavilion, highlighted the participation in the exhibition. Busaidi stressed the diversity of the delegates who will be participating in various fields in the presence of a large number of Omani intellectuals, writers, poets, artists and musicians.
The press conference was attended by a number of journalists from the French media. The sultanate aims to build bridges of communication and opening cooperation with a number of institutions related to publishing and translation in the European continent, explaining its vision and mission, building knowledge about the sultanate’s civilisation and culture.
The exhibition will also enhance the positive interaction of the fair’s visitors and spread the culture of tolerance and peace.
The sultanate and France have strong cultural relations that have always contributed to the continuous exchange of partnerships between the different institutions and other bodies in both countries. The Paris International Book Fair is one of the most important European exhibitions that witnesses continuous growth in publishing and translation activities.
