Oman working to fly back students and citizens from UK, US, Canada

Omani authorities are working to fly back many of its citizens and students studying abroad.

Omani authorities are working to fly back many of its citizens and students studying abroad. The Omani Embassy in London asked those looking to come back to Oman to finish procedures relating to their returning before March 29. 

The embassy confirmed that it will provide tickets for students. The available flights are from the UK are from Manchester on March 27, at 8 pm, London Heathrow on March 27, at 8am and 8pm and March 28 at 8am. These flights will be operated in coordination with Oman Air. 

While Oman's embassy in Washington is coordinating with a number of airlines to arrange a flight to Muscat for citizens and students in the United States and Canada. The embassy confirmed that the last date for sending the information of those wishing to return is March 26. 

Meanwhile, the first batch of Omani students studying abroad reached Muscat on Wednesday night and second batch landed in Muscat on Thursday morning. Also those coming in examined thoroughly and were sent to institutional quarantine facilities in designated hotels. Special medical and social teams will look after them.
