Mall of Oman work on track, to open in 2021

The construction of Mall of Oman is on track for its opening in March 2021 with the completion of two major infrastructure milestones, Majid al Futtaim, the project developer, has announced.

Mall of Oman is Majid al Futtaim’s fifth and biggest lifestyle destination in the sultanate.

The project’s developer has said that new roads and flyovers, connecting the mall to Interchange No 6 on Muscat Expressway, and a primary substation of the Muscat Electricity Distribution Company have been constructed.

The mall will have 145,000sq m of retail space, dining outlets and exciting lifestyle experiences. It will also have Oman’s largest VOX Cinemas, a Magic Planet family entertainment centre, a 12,200sq m Carrefour Hypermarket and the largest indoor snow park in the sultanate.

The development of the mall is expected to contribute to Oman Vision 2040 on economic diversification by creating job opportunities.
