The 5th edition of the Book Fair was officially inaugurated by Shununa Salim Alhabsi – educational expert at the office of the Undersecretary for Education & Curriculum, Ministry of Education, in the presence of the senior management of Lulu.

The ten-day event, which will be on till March 25 and is conducted in association with Albhaj Trading, brings to Oman a range of books to satiate varied tastes.  Aimed at raising awareness and inculcating the reading habit to a generation more technologically inclined, the Lulu Book Fair is aimed at focusing on reading for knowledge, fun, opportunities and inspiration, especially for the younger generation. The fair will have quite an offering which a book lover searches for - be it fiction, arts, philosophy or history, management, fictions, classics and lifestyle. Cookery too has got prominence. Children need not get disappointed as there is enough to keep them interested in the fair. In order to make book purchase more enticing, Lulu is giving back a flat 25 per cent on every purchase.

Lulu Book Fair is a celebration of discovering books, discovering reading and discovering the genre of storytelling. The Lulu Book Fair is an attempt to inculcate the reading habits and develop literacy skills within an enjoyable environment, broaden imagination, improve talents, enhance creative thinking skills, introduce positive behaviour & attitudes and enhance work skills.

It will also offer a platform for the latest Arab and foreign publications to showcase diverse cultures and literacy styles.
