It was launched at the Private Health Sector Senior Leaderships Forum last week under the patronage of H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health in the presence of a number of MoH undersecretaries and officials in private health sector establishments.
The Institutional Excellence Award for the Private Health Sector seeks to establish a culture of excellence in private healthcare establishments. This will enable the creation of a competitive work environment according to global standards.
The purpose of the award is to improve the quality of healthcare services and patient safety, create a competitive environment among healthcare establishments, encouraging staff to conduct scientific researches and health studies, as well as encouraging entrepreneurs to invest in the private healthcare sector.
The award includes the Best Private Hospital, the Best Private Medical (Centre/Complex), Best Private General Clinic, Best Private Specialised Medical Centre, Best Private Dental Clinic, Best First Aid/Colleges/Schools Clinic, Best Entrepreneur in the Private Health Sector and Best Health Establishment in Health Researches and Scientific Studies.
