She also thanked His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and the Government of Oman for hosting and providing employment opportunities to a sizeable number of Nepalese in Oman. She also spoke about the progress in the proposed MoU for labour. Congratulating the ambassador on her appointment, H E Bakri explained about the Omani Labour Law as an international ILO standard law that makes no differentiation between non-Omani and Omani labourers working.
H E Bakri said that the sultanate is seeking skilled manpower and hence will be willing to receive the same from Nepal in various sectors such as health, tourism, fishing, mining, infrastructure and manufacturing. He also discussed the new online services of the Ministry of Manpower where people can register their grievances online.
