Organised by OITE Trade Fairs, the exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Said bin Hamed bin Said al Rubaii, secretary general of the Education Council at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will take place until Thursday from 9.30am to 1pm and 4.30pm to 9pm.
Students from across Oman have the option of choosing from among 200 top-notch universities and colleges spanning 20 countries at Ghedex covering Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from Oman, Australia, Cyprus, France, Ireland, Jordan, Malta, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, St Lucia, Egypt, Philippines, India, Qatar, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Germany, UAE, the UK and US. New participants this year include HEIs from India, Philippines, Saint Lucia, Egypt and Qatar. The exhibition has also increased presence of HEIs from Malaysia, Ireland, UAE, the UK and the US.
MoHE scholarships to be announced The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) will conduct a presentation on external scholarship schemes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels targeting representatives from overseas universities and higher education service providers. Additionally, MoHE will also conduct a presentation on external and internal scholarships at undergraduate level in Arabic by its officials.
Training and job opportunities OCF is featuring 50 leading companies from across the spectrum of Oman’s private and public sectors. Omanis will also have the chance to meet potential employers and career experts and gain valuable information about vacancies and upcoming opportunities in the job market from some of the highly reputed names in the industry.
