More than 500 Omani men and women were welcomed by representatives from the Ministry of Manpower and the general managers from all local Marriott properties and discovered the myriad career opportunities available in Oman’s burgeoning hospitality industry.
H E Maitha said, “Professionals working in hospitality not only play a role in providing a service but more importantly, creating truly memorable experiences which ultimately reflect positively on the country’s image and reputation. “This is why, we are deeply committed to working closely with hotel partners to continuously identify opportunities to train, develop and employ young Omanis to explore the endless possibilities the hospitality industry has to offer and build meaningful careers.”
The fair was organised to recruit for 200 available job positions ranging from line employees to senior management at one of Marriott International’s four properties in Oman including the soon to re-open Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Sheraton Oman Hotel and the upcoming W Muscat and JW Marriott Muscat.
