The walk took place at Qurm Natural Park, and was aimed at spreading awareness on breast cancer. The walk, which is held annually as part of the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, witnesses the attendance of a large number of volunteers, who gather to show their support to the campaign.
On participating in the annual event, Sami Omar al Zadjali, executive manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications, said, “We are honoured to join the local communities we serve in, showing our support to breast cancer patients and their families.
“As we all know, cancer is a disease that has affected a number of individuals and families, either directly or indirectly, and our staff are passionate about supporting those currently affected.”

Established in 2004, Oman Cancer Association’s objective is to create public awareness for all types of cancers, through community-based programmes and spread the importance of self-examination and early presentation as the key to early diagnosis and proper, timely intervention.
The association primarily aims to educate the community on the early signs and symptoms of different cancers.
Oman Cancer Association works hand in hand with the healthcare providers in the field of cancer management as a patient support group, helping patients get early appointments of appropriate doctors and also acting as a support for patients to help them understand the problem.
CSR is an important pillar of BankDhofar’s operations.
