Badr al Samaa lays foundation stone for hospital in Sohar

Badr al Samaa Group of Hospitals announced the laying of the foundation stone of a 100 bedded Multi-Speciality Hospital facility in Sohar. 

The foundation stone was laid by Eng Salim bin Hamed al Kindi, chairman of Sohar Municipality in the presence of Sheikh Salam Hassan Ba Alavi, director general of Health, North Batinah Governorate. The ceremony was attended by Board of Directors, V T Vinod and Abdul Latheef including officials from various corporates, communities and many other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Latheef, director, Badr al Samaa said, ‘’It is a momentous day for us today, in our journey to bring world-class healthcare to the people of North Batinah region. Affordability, accessibility and availability of all services under one roof are the advantages of Badr al Samaa and we will continue to keep it affordable.

“Construction is expected to complete in two years. It will have modern designs with all facilities that will increase patient satisfaction with comfort and dignity. We are proud to offer specialised services that meet the healthcare needs of the people of the region.”
Vinod, director, Badr al Samaa who spoke during foundation laying ceremony emphasised about their commitment to the people of Oman by providing quality treatment.

Two Badr al Samaa hospitals in Oman and two in Bahrain have been accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI USA). It is one of the highest quality award certification bodies in healthcare sector.

The new hospital in Sohar aims to be the hub of centres of excellence that will match the best in the region with its infrastructure, technology and expertise. From cardiac care, neurosurgeries, mother and child care, nephrology, neo natal critical care, comprehensive internal medicine, the latest in imaging, laboratory etc, all services will be available under one roof.

Manojkumar, branch head, said, “We are pleased that we have reached this important milestone and look forward to seeing the new hospital, providing the best possible quality care.”
