All international flights to and from Oman to stop from March 29

Muscat -

As per the orders of the Supreme Committee for dealing with COVID-19 all domestic and international flights from and to Oman will be suspended from Sunday, March 29, 12pm.

As per the order, the national carrier Oman Air said all passenger services to and from Muscat would be paused indefinitely from March 29 noon (Sunday).

Domestic flights to and from Musandam Governorate and cargo operations will operate as normal.

“We regret the difficulty and inconvenience this may cause, but it’s vital for us as the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman to assist in the country’s efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19,” said Abdulaziz al Raisi, CEO, Oman Air.

Oman Airports stated in its COVID-19 travel update that the safety and security of the passengers and customers who pass through the airports or individuals who work at Oman Airports is always its top priority.

‘We are working closely with our stakeholders and strategic partners to implement the decisions of Oman's Supreme Committee for Dealing with COVID-19 to address and minimise the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Sultanate of Oman.’
