24,314 visit archaeological sites in Dhofar

The number of visitors to Al Baleed and Samahram Archaeological Sites in July stood at 24,314 according to statistics from the Department of Frankincense Land Sites at His Majesty the Sultan's Advisor’s Office for Cultural Affairs.

Al Baleed Archaeological Park and Museum of the Frankincense Land received 17,981 visitors while Samahram Archaeological Site received 6,032 visitors, Wadi Dokka received 280 and Wbar Archaeological site received 21 visitors.

The Office of His Majesty the Sultan's Advisor for Cultural Affairs is developing several archaeological sites in Dhofar.

Al Baleed Archaeological Park, Samahram and Wadi Dokka are registered sites on the World Heritage List under the name ‘Land of Frankincense’ sites.
