15 new COVID-19 cases registered in the sultanate

Muscat - 

The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Wednesday stated 15 new confirmed Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have been registered in the sultanate.

All the 15 patients are Omanis. Seven out of the 15 cases are linked to contact infection,  7 to travel to the UK, US and Spain, while 1 case is under epidemiological investigation. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the sultanate to 99.

The ministry reaffirms that 17 patients have recovered.

MoH calls upon all to adhere to the quarantine procedures. The ministry also advises all citizens and residents to keep on washing hands with water and soap, as well as avoid touching the face, nose, mouth and eyes, and follow the healthy habits when coughing and sneezing.

Full adherence to social distancing instructions issued by the Supreme Committee and MoH is further required.
