10 new COVID-19 cases registered in Oman

Muscat -

The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced on Thursday the registration of ten new confirmed cases of COVID-19 among citizens.

While five cases are linked with having close contact with confirmed cases of coronavirus, two cases are related to travel to Britain, while three cases are under epidemiological investigation. Of these 23 cases have recovered.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the sultanate to 109.

MoH calls upon the public to adhere to the isolation procedures. Citizens and residents have also been advised to keep on washing hands with water and soap and avoiding touching face, nose, mouth and eyes and follow healthy habits when coughing and sneezing.

It is also important to practise social distancing as stipulated by the Supreme Committee on dealing with COVID-19. 'Stay at home and step out only when necessary,' the ministry stated.
