Al Qamshoui said that Jabal Shams, Jabal Sharqi, Misfat Al Abriyeen and Houta Cave are the most important tourist destinations in the wilayat. He pointed out that Jabal is the highest peak in the Sultanate. It more than 12,000 feet high. It has cold weather in winter and moderate in summer. The fragrant aroma of bot and Al Alalan trees is a unique choice for those who love giant trees. It is a natural haven of dreams for trekking enthusiasts and camping on the edges of a deep, open cliff with spectacular views.
Jabal Sharqi also attracts tourists. It separates the wilayat between Al Dakhiliyah and Al Bathina governorates. It has many tourist attractions along the road between the two governorates extending from Al Hamra to Rustaq through the villages of Wadi Al Sahtn, which is full of natural antiquities. Misfat Al Abriyeen is popular throughout the year.It is a valuable destination which has preserved its original architectural character. It has Aflaj and oasis of palm which gives a imaginary picturesque look full of surprises and freshness. There is no such place in the entire Gulf region.
Hoota Cave is also an important tourist destination, as there is no such place at the foot of a mountain. During the Blessed Renaissance, an elegant building to receive tourists, administrative offices, a small museum containing many types of rocks and minerals was built. The building also has a hall to screen documentary films, a waiting room for tourists, restaurant, and a train to transport tourists from the starting point to the cave. The number of the visitors of this cave last year were 74,143.

Abdul Wahab Al Balushi, a board member of The View, said the resort was popular because the temperature in Al Hamra is moderate, especially in high mountain areas around the wilayat. He said that the resort The View is near the village of Hail Al Shas, which is located at an altitude of 1450 meters above sea level. The temperature here is between 25-30 degrees Celsius.
